ATTENTION: KILL LA KILL EPISODE 18 SPOILERS AHEAD.
Yeah sure, as if you didn’t already see this coming.
They are already coming in as we speak. And by speak I mean writing this post. And by writing this post I mean browsing and uploading said fanart.
By the way, for those who are not fluent in Nipponese and cannot decipher the moonrunes, clicking the pictures will link you to a big cardboard box, which has translation annotations and original sources (mostly from Pixiv).
A lot of fanart tends to fixate on one character trait or relationship and run with it, usually at the cost of almost all other characterization in canon. Oftentimes, it is markedly silly, like the above comic of Satsuki making Ryuuko call her Onee-chan. Occasionally though, it can be thoughtfully provoking. What would the sisters’ relationship look like if they had grown up together in a happier environment?
In the actual show, the sisters may finally be fighting on the same side, but they still have a long way to go on the road to reconciliation. There’s no guarantee that both will even survive. But the fans are optimistic.
Hey Trigger, remember the Episode 26 alternate universes seen in Neon Genesis Evangelion and Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann? Yes, please. I’m sure that should be doable within context of whatever Life Fiber Instrumentality Project shenanigans are happening. The fanartists will show you the way.
